L. J. Boldyrev is My BFF For Realz!

Wow, it's been so long since I've blogged properly. Shame on me! Please pardon my thoughtlessness, you people deserve to know every little thing that happens to me in my life. Not that you care or anything, but someone might.

First off, I want to thank my BFF LJ Boldyrev
for all of her awesomeness! Secondly yes, awesomeness is a word now, look it up. Back to the point... LJ helped me set up this awesome blog layout that is sitting before you. If it wasn't for her, you would be seeing an ugly brown blob (my failed attempt at html) So I am very thankful for all of her help with that.

Plus, I got a package in the mail today! And I bet you can't guess who it was from... If you guessed LJ, you're wrong. TOTALLY KIDDING! Ha ha, it was from LJ. She sent me Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. I haven't read it yet (because I just got it) but the cover is B-E-A-UTIFUL! I love the blue on it.

I looked at it outside in the sun and I noticed that the color of the ink was a dark navy color also. Very cool and awesome. I should do that for my books. Maybe Vampire Prince will be in dark purple ink to match the cover. And if you haven't seen the cover yet, then go check it out on my ugly website,

Yes, I said it's ugly. The reason why is because I had a really awesome, totally cool, and amazing website that I spent hours upon hours designing only then to find out that I will have to pay $135 annually to keep it up and running. My reaction... yeah right. All I need is a website with information on it. Well, now that's what I have.

I'm in love with my new blog layout. I can't stop staring at it. I think it represents who I am. My desk tends to get a little messy once I'm in full writing mode. I drive a Chevy so they key on the desk is awesome. I really want an iPhone and will someday own one, that is to say, I will own one when I get a job where I make loads of extra cash. I like the tea stains on the desk too. I have a few on mine also (ok, so if you want to get technical, they are coffee stains. But really, what's the difference?) Anyway, THANKS LJ for all your help! You are awesome, end of story. Ha ha.

School starts back on August 25, 2009. I'm not terribly excited as I usually am. Mainly because college is not something to look forward to. But, after this semester I will hopefully be transferring to a different college where I can enter a veterinary program and become a certified veterinary technician in as little as 6 months. Scary right?

I will be in two english classes this fall, oh joy. As if one english class wasn't enough work, now I've got to buckle down and do double the work. I'm taking English Literature Since 18-- something or other year and I will also be taking English Comp II with the same professor that I had in the spring (She was actually really nice, it was the work I didn't like). My day will start at 8AM behind a desk (hopefully in the back of the classroom) trying my hardest to pay attention to the teacher and not fall asleep. Then I have my second english class (Eng Lit) at 9:20AM. After that I am FREE until I get home that is. Then I am then blessed with RETAKING Introduction to Psychology with the same professor, only this time it will be online. Why would I retake a class with the same instructor as before if I failed you ask? Because he was the ONLY class available that would fit into my schedule. Just my luck, right?

Oh the joys of rambling on and on... Nobody reads this blog other than LJ and she already knows all of this because I have talked to her almost every single day since April 4th of this year (that's 2009 for all of you who don't know what year it is).

It's funny, I never thought you could actually make friends on the internet. Especially Myspace of all places. I'm excited and happy to call her my friend. She is awesome! Oh, sorry, was I bragging about her again? Oh well, get used to it. One day she will be famous when her book gets published and made into a movie, then I can say I knew her before she was famous. Ha ha, hopefully she will be able to say the same about me. That is, if I ever buckle down and get some writing done.

Well, I'm talking to LJ right now on instant messenger (I know you guys are all jealous) so I better go now.

Oh, if you want to see a video of me opening the package she sent, you may do so here:

  1. *smiles* you're the best. I'm really happy you liked the book. I would have kept it a surprise but I figured you're lazy mail person wouldn't leave it if you weren't on the hunt for it and then you would be forced to go to the Post Office and face Mumbling Mayes again and oy! we don't want that.

For those of you following A.J. she sent me a very carefully constructed package that included, among other little treasures, big league chew AND fun dip! Two of my favorite childhood candies. That's how sweet she is. Follow her.

And please buy Shiver. Maggie Stiefvater is a wonderful person and her books are beautiful in every way.
